A web designer who doesn’t like WordPress?! 😱

Welcome to the new age, friends.

Sure maybe WordPress is the oldest website platform on the internet, but does it mean that you need to build your website on there?

Absolutely not.

Chances are, if you have a small business, or you’re a creative or a solopreneur, you might actually hate WordPress.

Here are my reasons why you shouldn’t use WordPress as your design builder.

1. You need plugins for just about any additional feature. This also means you have to keep those plugins up to date! 😬
2. Don’t think WordPress is the best just because it’s the oldest web platform! There’s so many other great ones out there! * cough * Showit 🥰 
3. It has a clunky backend which can be annoying when you want to easily update your website
4. Yes a lot of well know corporate companies use WordPress. But they also have teams that do nothing but keep their website updated and polished. This DOES NOT mean that WordPress is best for small businesses.
5. Although WordPress is great for blogs, it can be really tricky and confusing to use when designing. Instead, use a platform like Showit for the designing and then just link your WordPress blog to the website!

DISCLAIMER: This post isn’t meant to bash on wordpress designers, I know there are many pros to this platform if you have the time, energy and budget but with my clientele I find that wordpress as a builder isn’t the answer!
