Ask yourself these questions when establishing your brand
Whether you are launching your business or a new offer, a great way to build interest is through a giveaway! Not only will this get people excited, but it will also tell you who would be interested in your services if price wasn’t a factor. After you pick a winner, follow up with every participant and offer a little discount as a thank you for participating! You now have a list of warm leads to nurture as they could be great future clients. Does this mean you should giveaway your big package for free? Not if you don’t want to! Start with a small giveaway. It’s important to still respect your own time.
Join Facebook Groups where you know your target audience is likely to be in. Connect with others within the group and when it comes time to launching your offer, do a little introduction post and share why you are excited about this offer! Make sure the facebook group allows self promotion. You will have a better chance of landing a client in a group that isn’t so big so your post can actually be seen.
Sharing about a new business venture to your friends and family venture can be a little intimidating. Believe it or not though, not everyone will be judging you. More people from your personal network will actually be your number one supporters and maybe even your first few clients! And for the ones that do doubt you. Well, use their doubt as FUEL to prove them wrong!!
People love seeing social proof and results. If you are a designer, build a portfolio that showcases your skills (even if they are mockup projects!) For other service providers you can share testimonials and results from your clients. If you are starting from scratch, you can start with either a free beta client in the beginning, or you can even reach out to people you have worked with in the past that can comment on your work ethic!
If you are starting an online service based business, chances are your ideal clients are on instagram! This is THE best place to connect with your clients / customers because you can easily connect with others. Show up every day! That can mean sharing valuable content so your ideal customers can learn from you, or you can just share a glimpse into your everyday life as a business owner. People love transparency on this platform so don’t go cold DMing every person you see!
This might be the best tip. If you are trying all the tricks in the book and still aren’t landing a client, it’s important to be consistent. If month’s go by without landing a client, do some self reflecting. How am I coming across online? Is it clear how I can help others? Am I targeting the right audience? If you’re stumped do some market research! Post polls on your story and ask these burning questions. If this is something you really want, don’t give up and don’t compare yourself to the next person!
